Washer stopped with water in it, but still agitates if the knob is turned to appropriate cycle. I'm wondering if it could be a build up of a dry drop in detergent.
ANSWER Hello Sue. You need to check the lid switch on the unit and make sure it is good. If it is bad, it will cause the issue you are having with the unit. It should read closed for continuity with the lid closed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
