Good morning. My washer makes a really load clicking noise if you open the door during a spin cycle and it makes that same noise under normal operation at the end of a spin cycle. I am thinking that there must be some kind of break machanism that is worn. What do you recomend? Thanks

ANSWER Adam, Based on your post description, It sounds like you have an issue in the drive block 389140 spanner nut 21366 and drive tube 285792. Occasionally the key way in the drive block "round out" and when the brake locks the drive tube the tub continues to spin and make a "thunk" noise. You'll need to remove the cabinet and top, tub cover and agitator assembly to access the drive block and nut. Then remove the drive block and spin basket to access the top of the basket drive. Thanks and Good Luck
