I've replaced the clutch, agitator dogs and installed a neutral drain kit but it still makes a loud grinding noise when in the spin cycle. All other cycles work fine and coupler is good as well. It seems the agitator is not disengaging (going into neutral) when entering the spin cycle. I can temporarily stop the grinding by holding the agitator in place during the spin cycle. Other than purchasing a new transmission, what part in particular do you think has failed and can it be replaced?
ANSWER Hello Brent,
You will want to check to make sure that the tub is not loose. check to make sure that the drive block is in good condition and check the tub bearings.
