The ice maker doesn't make ice. the lever arm which stops the ice maker from producing doesn't seem to lower into the "make ice" position (down). it seems to be stuck in the up position do I need to remove the tray which forms the ice in order to evaluate this lever arm, or is there a trick to releasing it?
I am unable to remove the ice maker tray to evaluate it. There is a clip on the wall side which seem to be attached to a slide. When I release this clip, I am still unable to make the ice maker tray slide out.
is there a trick to removing the tray within which the ice is formed? do I have to release it from the back of the refrigerator??? thanks.
You can remove the icemaker module to check it. The arm goes into the module. You will want to look to make sure that at when the icemaker is at rest position that it is around the 1:30 position. Check on the large gear of the icemaker module to make sure that the pins in the center are not pushed together and not broken.
