I noticed that the blower drum is loose, there is a nylon nut in the front. Is this broken or need to be tightened ?
ANSWER Ricky, The "nylon nut" on the front of the blower wheel, is actually part of the wheel, and is used for tightenning the blower wheel onto the motor shaft. It has reversed threads and is designed to tighten as the motor turns. If the blower wheel is loose on the motor shaft, you'll need to replace the blower wheel. " Hold motor pulley securely and unthread impeller from motor shaft (right hand thread). Use a 7/8 inch,
6 point socket to aid in the removal of the impeller."
