If the gas valve won't shut off can the valve be repaired? I just got the dryer and I don't know if it was switched over to propane. Would that cause the valve not to shut off?
The gas valve 37001127 cannot be serviced, only replaced. You don't want to service a valve that could be an explosion hazard. Also, the gas supplied to the valve will not cause a valve failure unless the gas is contaminated. Your best choice is to replace the valve.
