I bought a 5 year old used Amana Fridge the other day and the owner claims he never changed the water filter. As a result, the filter was frozen onto the nozzle that feeds up into the housing unit. When attempting to apply some pressure to remove the filter, I broke off the little nozzle.
How do I repair this? Do I need to replace the whole housing?

ANSWER Tony,
If the nozzle broke off the filter head then you would have to replace the filter head R0000009. To replace it is held in by one screw. Once screw is removed you would push in on the ring around the tubing and pull the water line out. When reinstalling you just push tubing into fitting.
