What part/parts causes the agitator to quit agitating when the machine goes into spin cycle? I have cleaned the clutch lining- no apparent damage. I also cleaned the brake assembly no apparent damage. I have another machine (RoperRTW4100SQ1) which appears to have the same mechanical parts and when the Roper machine goes into spin cycle, the agitator spins with the tub assembly. The machine that is giving a problem wants to continue to agitates when it goes into spin cycle making loud noises. Can you tell me what is wrong with the problem washer? Thanks Don
If the clutch and the brake check ok then the issue with agitating during spin will be caused by a faulty gearcase which would need to be replaced.
