ANSWER George, It's not the spin tube/brake assembly, no yet anyway. These components are more involved in the spin cycle than the agitate, and you stated "spins ok". the First place you may want to check is the agitator assembly and "dogs" 285811 3350830. If the dogs or agitator splines are damaged or stripped, the agitator will appear to agitate slowly when it operates. Good Luck and Thanks
