My washer spin cycle works fine but it would not start automatically. When draining cycle ends agitator shakes and spin does not start until basket is manually rotated. I ordered from you the clutch (and cam) and replaced it, but this did not help.
The tube ears and basket block under the spanner nut seem in order.
Spring in the brake shoes is in place.
In your answers regarding similar problems you suggest replacing the spin tube or motor coupling.
I am trying to understand what other part of the spin tube could prevent spinniong cycle to start(and how). Motor coupling I changed about 5 years ago with the motor and I am wondering how the coupling could cause the spinning problem when agitating proces is working and spinning as well, once it starts.
The washer is 20 years old, but I am willing to replace another part if I understand the problem and feel that there is a good chance for succesfull repair, otherwise it would be time for the new machine.
Could there be another reason for the problem?
Thank you for your good information and previous assistance.

ANSWER Hello Frost. If the bearings in the tub support 280184 are bad, it will bind the drive tube 285792 and make bad places on it. If this is the case, you will need to replace both parts. Hope this helps.
