The washer works fine except for end of spin. It would normally brake in a matter of seconds. Now it does not brake at all, and vibrates and thumps as it free wheels to a stop.
What can I check, and what can I replace?
Seems as if to replace anything brake-wise you pretty much have to dismantle entire workings of machine, and don't want to take apart before I have an idea of what can be fixed and how it can be fixed.
Have watched some great how-to-take-apart-your-washer videos, and can do it, but want to be sure the problem is fixable.
Thanks!
