the tube makes a knocking sound a the start of the spin cycle. what could cause this problem?
ANSWER John, Does the washer make a rumbling or "growling" noise when it does get to a high speed spin ? This would indicate a worn out set of tub bearings 280232 , allowing the spin basket to "wobble" and touch the inner tub or tub cover. It could also be a cracked or broken tub support arm on the spin basket W10040480 We're taking for granted, you've done some of the basic checks( burn spot on the belt, something between the tubs or hoses or wiring tapping the cabinet or tub, etc. Good Luck and Thanks
