I have a Kenmore HE3t Washer. Over the past week, the washer started making a loud thumping noise. When I checked the unit, I first thought it was the main bearing. But when I noticed plastic slivers from wear underneath the front rubber seal, I checked further and found that the main basket can wobble back and forth ( at rest leans to the right) and the front plastic basket is taking the wear. With the excessive movement, could a support spring have broken? Will I need to replace the front basket as well?
ANSWER Hello Bill. Based on the information you provided, you need to order and replace the inner basket W10250573, front tub 285981, and the rear outer tub W10253864 in the unit.
