When the washer goes into the rinse cycle, water comes out the bottom of the washer. What part do I need to fix this? Thank you, Larry
Larry K. for Model Number Gibson
ANSWER Hello Larry,
Without the model number, we can't go into specifics. With a top load machine, I would suspect the drain pump. If I'm thinking of the correct model, the pump is made of plastic and a string will bind the impeller and cause excessive pressure and friction on the pump, melting through the pump housing and causing a leak. If you would like a more specific diagnosis and illustrations on the replacement procedure, please re-post with a model number.
