Need the bearings/lip seal kit. Been putting this off for some time now. What will happen if left unrepaired? The drum in now much harder to turn by hand. In your opinion is it worth the effort/expense to repair and should it NOT be used? Have I also understood that a special bearing puller or homemade one is not necessary, only the tool included and screwdriver to knock out the bearings? Thanks for answering the numerous questions.
ANSWER Hello Tim. It will damage the inner and outer tub on the unit. As for special tools needed, you will need to have them due to the bearing being pressed in and out on the unit. I think it is best to replace the outer tub assembly and the bearing come alreay installed into the tub assembly.
