When I removed the lower spray arm nut, nyon gasket, and spray arm I discovered a brown rubber ring that was broken and wedged between the plastic bearing ring. There is a groove on the one side of the brown ring and it is approx 3" in diameter. What is it and where does it go?

ANSWER Hello Patty,
This unit would not have a brown rubber ring in it. It may be the rubber ring off of a lid from a jar that worked its way through the pump and hung up there due to no where else to go.
