My dryer has begun to make this really loud noise while running. It starts off quiet but gradually gets louder. It's kind of like a rubbing noise. When I open the door the drum is turning but it is definitely the drum making the noise. I opened the top of the dryer and looked at the black seal strip and it looks fine. Just wondering what could be making the noise now. It also smelled like burning hair when I shut it off. Not sure if this help but it was something else I noticed.
ANSWER Hello Erica. You need to check and see if the noise is coming from the rollers on the unit. You can remove the drum and turn the rollers by hand and if they are tight or bad, you will need to replace them.
