I purchased this part and replaced it on my appliance. Now the machine will not agitate at all. What could be the problem? Series 10 on this appliance.
ANSWER Hi George. You need to lift and support the bottom of the unit. Then see if you can turn the belt in both directions. One way it will allow the inner tub to spin. The other way will lock the tub and allow the agitator to work. If it does not, then the first thing to check is the electrical end. Remove the belt and see if the timer allows the motor to work one direction for agitation and then the opposite direction for spin . This will tell you if the timer is sending the voltage to the motor and the motor working. Separates the electrical from the mechanical. Start thinking in this way. Let us know what part is binding, or parts needed. Thank You.
