Washer will not start just makes a ticking sound like a solenoid is cycling.

ANSWER Hello Richard. Check and see if the noise is coming from the lock assembly. If so, you will need to replace the latch 8183270 on the washer. If the lock does not work, then the washer will not start. Hope this helps.
