Spin dryer fails to run at normal high speed. It appears as if the drive belt is slipping. How can the tension be adjusted? With front panel removed, the system cycle runs OK but will just not speed up as it should ?
ANSWER Hi Cliff. With the front panel already removed then you can easily remove the belt tension off the tensioner. Then see if the motor picks up speed? Spin the motor pulley shaft to see if the motor part # Y308577 is free. Remove the power and remove the blower hsg. front cover off. Is there a sock or debris stuck in the blower wheel part # Y303836. Inspect the belt to see if it is cracked and needs replaced part # Y312959. Spin the belt tensioner and see if it is worn out part # 6-3037050. Spin the tumbler to see if the tumbler wheels part # 12001541 are bad or the tumbler front or rear felt part 314820 is worn out and the tumbler itself is running metal to metal on the front or rear bulkheads. Thank You.
