I replaced the belt on this washer around 8 months ago. It started spinning slow so I opened the back and saw the belt completely off both the tub and motor pulleys. I replaced the belt again and noticed that when it is spun by hand, it tracks toward the tub. How do I keep it tracking straight. I looked at both pulleys and the motor mounts all SEEM to be ok. I did notice that the motor pulley and the belt both have ridges and the tub pulley is flat. Tub pulley was replaced about 8 months ago as well.
ANSWER Phill, A couple of things you still want to check. Make sure the washer is not being overloaded, The spin basket pulley can "flex" and throw the belt off. Make sure you have the pulley nut W10283361 as tight as possible(you may want to add a dab of red "Loc Tite" to the threads. You need to remove the motor and check the bolt, isolators, and tub mounts for distortion, and excessive wear, allowing the motor to sit at an angle, and or "wobble" Thanks
