I have had this front load washer for about 7 years with no maintenance other than my wife's ritualistic cleaning of the seal etc. to keep it smelling clean. It operates normally but, when beginning to spin and when slowing down it has a horrible knocking noise that varies due to speed. The washer is level and on a slab surface so I know it has to do with a worn out component. I am getting a belt and would like to know what additional items I should get. By the way my wife uses it at least twice a day everyday. It has had a hard life but she loves it.
ANSWER Hello Daniel,
You may want to check your inner tub to make sure that it is not moving. When checking you will pull up on the inner tub and if it moves inside the outer tub more than an 1/8" Then you have bad tub bearing and would need to replace the bearings. Also there may be something in between inner and outer tub that could be making noise.
