While investigating an intermittent clanking noise during the spin cycle and and overall increase in washer noise, I noticed that the belt pulls toward the outer tub. It stays a couple of millimeters off the pulley and rubs against the plastic of the outer tub. Any suggestions as to what causes this?
ANSWER Jared, You'll need to remove the drive belt, and check the drum pulley [AP3841230 and nut W10283361 make sure they're not loose and or bent. Then check the motor mount screws W10128585 and motor 8182793 for loose bolts, worn out bushings and cracked or broken mounting tabs on the outer tub assembly.
