Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
I opened the back panel of my freezer to get to the bimetl-def, which I have located, but my problem is that one of the bimetl-def (Brown)wire is connected to another wire (which leads to something else),crimped onto a wire connector with a male pin on the other end. I would have to cut both wires to disconnect the bimetl-def from the wire connector in order to change it out. My question is, I can't find the wire connector (with the male pin on the end which is inserted into a harnest), to fasten both wires.

ANSWER Hello Joseph. Your old bi-metal has two wires going to it. You will need to cut these wires and wire in the new bi-metal. You do not need to connect it to a wire harness, if you splice it with the old wires. Hope this helps.
