I have removed the blower fan. It makes a lot of noise. Is there suppose be a shim on the shaff to hold the fan? Or is it just worn that bad

ANSWER Hello Bob. There is a flat spot on the shaft and the hole in the blower wheel. It sounds like the wheel 31001317 is stripped out and will need to be replaced.
