Does the compressor board control freezer defrost? Ice build-up around fan is hitting fan blades causing noise. Also water freezing as it runs down back of freezer,keeps causing bulb at bottom back of freezer to short out.

ANSWER Hi Mark. The main control board controls the defrost , part # 67006853. The defrost thermostat is part # 67001404. The defrost heater is part # 67001422. However, your model can use the updated drip pan kit. It is a drain pan assy. above the evaporator fan and light sockets. It has a heater for the drain duct hose assy. This kit will seal better to allow better drain rate so freezing the water that will back up (occurring now), will not happen. Drain pan kit part # W10199915. Thank You.
