We replaced the machine control board. Machine continues to malfunction as before- hot water valve constantly open, and timer won't advance.
ANSWER Jerome, There are a couple of other things to check first. Remove the slanted panel across the top of the washer, on each side of the tub, you'll find multi plug connectors(1 on each side) Disconnect the upper harness and check both connectors for loose or shorted wires or pins, and the plastic connector openings for discoloration, indicating a possible short. At the machine control board, you'll need to check for a 24 Volt DC circuit at conn.P7 pin 7 (ylw wire) for 24VDC to the black wire on the relay, and conn. P7 pin 8 (pnk wire) for the same while the unit is filling/washing. If you have no 24 VDC or Low VDC that would indicate a bad timer input contact. The hot water does stop flowing when you turn the timer off, correct. Hope this is a help to you, Good Luck
