While my daughter was baking in the upper oven at 350 degrees, the broiler switched on by itself, burned her cake, and then error code F2 was displayed. Pressing cancel did nothing. She had to turn off the oven at the fuse box. It seems to work fine now, but obviously there is a problem.
I understand error code F2 means to replace the control board. I'm going to attempt replacing the control board myself. It looks relatively simple. Do you have any general advice?
I do have one specific question: I tugged at a couple of the wires that are attached with blade connectors to make sure there is nothing tricky about removing them. I would have thought they would slip on and off easily. They don't. And they don't seem to want to pull off. Do I just need to tug harder on them, or is there something about the blade connections I don't know?
ANSWER Hello Greg. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the relay board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.
