My lower oven heating element overheated. I replaced the heating element but the element does not heat up. The top heating element works fine, but the temperature reading on the front panel always reads 100. Is the relay board the problem? Thank you.
ANSWER Hello Jonathan. Test the high limit 74009837 and make sure it is closed. If so, and the relay is not sending power to the element, you will need to replace the relay board 12001689. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
