I have replaced both the belt and the thrust bearing and pully my machine still will not spin out. I can hold the switch with the lid open and stop the spin by hand if it is spinning at all.
ANSWER Hello Kevin,
When you replaced the thrust bearing there was 2 washers in the kit. You may have installed the smaller one which may not allow the brake to lift enough to spin properly. You could have put the larger one in which could cause the same problem. It may be necessary to put both on in order to lift the brake rotor high enough to allow unit to spin properly.
