I purchased this oven in 1987. This is the first trouble I've had. Should I expect more to begin happening at this age or should I purchase a new oven?

ANSWER Hello J. If the oven has been working properly, it is not uncommon for the element 660579 to burn out after that kind of time period. Hope this helps.
