When removing the dead heating element (part AP3891570) I found that one side was completely burndown to the
base. One hole which should house wires is open and no wires to be seen. Now what?

ANSWER Hello Mary. You will need to remove the back cover and locate the wire that is burnt. If the spade is bad, you will need to replace it as well. Hope this helps.
