The shaft of the little timer knob (AP2973268)appears to have broken off inside the retainer. The broken off shaft will not pull out of retainer with tweezers or tiny long nose plyers. It appears to have broken off even with the retainer. If I take the front panel off the stove will I then be abe to pull the retainer off and clear it of the broken off shaft and then be able to put in a new knob? Thanks

Greg for Model Number KEDT105VBL 1

ANSWER Greg, If you're careful, and lucky , yes, you'll be able to replace the button, just as you described. You'll need to remove the glass control panel and trim pieces, ansd as long as the knob or shaft has not broken off, you'll be fine. Good Luck and Thanks
