My dishwasher will not drain. When the pump tries to cut on, it makes a clicking sound once but nothing happens. The drain pump is not activating.
What could be causing this?
Could it be the check valve?
Could it be the motor relay?

ANSWER Hello Butch. You will need to check and make sure the pump and drain hose is not clogged. If they are clear, you will need to check and see if power is coming to the pump. If there is power there, but the pump does not run, then the pump is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
