I have a 15 year old Whirpool Refrigerator/Freezer ED25TEXHN00
The compressor will not automatically kick back on when the temperature drops. I can manually move the refrigerator gauge to off and then the compressor will kick on and cool the refrigerator/freezer to the appropriate temperature. Then it will turn-off and will not kick back on when the temperature drops.
What do think would cause this problem?
ANSWER Hello Tim. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the thermostat control 2198202 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.
