On the last spinning cycle, the machine made a loud snap like noise and then began to smell like burning rubber. The machine continued to work but the smell got more intense. What would cause this?
ANSWER Hello Susan. It sounds like the motor coupler part number 285753A is bad. The coupler goes between the transmission and motor and will actually slip to prevent damage. It can cause a smell of burning rubber or plastic when it slips. Hope this helps..
