I have a Kenmore 90 Series washing machine. It does drain. I already replaced the coupler, so that is not the problem. 1. I am wondering if the clutch needs to be replaced. 2. If the clutch needs to be replaced, how do I remove the agitator. I watched your video on You Tube, and it was excellent! However, on my washing machine, there no bolt. Once the agitator cap is removed, I can see where the agitator is held in place by a pin, that lies flush.
ANSWER DJ, In your case, you have a nylon composite retainer and spring 3946995 3946995, that is in the center of the agitator "dog and cam" assembly. You may find it easier to use a pair of "needle nose" or "slip joint" pliers and grasp the retainer by the square portion of the assembly at the bottom, and turn the retaine clockwise to loosen and remove. Once the retainer dogs and cam are removed, you'll need a "deep set" 7/16 in. socket to remove the agitator bolt and the agitator.
