The washer's pump is pumping out fine but it isn't spinning and the brake drum is hot. Any ideas?

ANSWER Jim, You most likely have a "slipping" clutch 285785 and or stuck brake shoes 285438. Here's some help from a post on the APP Repair Forum [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/3265-replacing-direct-drive-washer-brake-shoes.html] it should be pretty helpful. Thanks
