A few weeks ago the control panel stopped responding properly. Buttons would not push, or only responded some of the time. The display showed F1, which I found out was a Fault Code for the keypad. I replaced the control panel assembly and now a few days later, the new panel is starting to exhibit the same signs. Bake/Broil buttons don't work (pushing them does nothing), only Convection. Also F1 popped up again. I find it unlikely that I received a bad panel (it was a new part), so I'm thinking that maybe some other electrical unit might be faulty and causing the control panel to malfunction/fail. What is connected to the other end of the wiring harness that plugs into the control panel?
ANSWER Hello Nageeb, an F1 code on your model can be the control panel or the ERC (clock) [5701M518-60]. Since you've already replaced the control panel, I would go with the ERC at this point. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/repair-help/maytag-fault-codes.html
