Both my elements wont work on my range. I replaced the one on the bottom (bake) and it still didn't work. I did some tests on the elements and the wiring. The elements have an ohm resistance of 20. When I turn on the oven I get 120 VAC on both terminals on the elements when I go to ground. When test across the elements I get 0 VAC. Am I suppose to get 240 VAC across the elements? What do you think is the problem and what should I replace? Thanks in advanced.
ANSWER Hello Mark. Yes, you should read 240 volts AC across the elements on the unit. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the electronic control 5701M837-60 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit.
