The broiler and bake element don't work on my Admiral stove. The electronic control doesn't light up either. I know I'm getting power to the electronic control. I assumed the electronic control was bad so I replaced it. Still nothing. Could the new part be bad? Or something else?
ANSWER Hello Brian. At the control board, test the black wires on the P4 connection and the red wires on the P3 connection. These should read 120 volts at the board. If not, you have a wiring issue either with the unit or in the house. You will want to check at the range terminal block and see if the wiring is bad or burnt. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
