My oven will work when it feels like it and now won't heat up at all. When it did work it would get hotter than the temp I set it at but would still stay the temp I set on the control panel. I had some one look at it and they think it may be the contol panel. The clock still works and all the digital info shows but the oven won't heat up. Then just randomly I will try it and it may work or not. I would like to replace the part vs buying a new oven. Does it sound like its the control panel or thermastat that tells the control panel what the temp is. Thanks

ANSWER Crystal, It does sound like the control board would be the problem. You could set the controls to bake and check from L1 to Bake and see if you are getting 240 vac. If not then the control is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
