My dry was flashing an AF alarm (restricted air flow) Then it shut off and was flashing an F40 alarm (control communication error between machine control and motor control is lost). I would not start so with some investigation I determined that the Thermal Fuse needed to be replaced in addition I had a vent cleaning company come out and clean the vent. After he cleaned the vent he checked air flow (which was fine) as well as the temp. He said that the temp was at 168 plus degrees at the exit point on my roof and said that it should be running at about 120 -140 degrees max. I am Looking for some direction before start buying parts.
You will want to look at the exhaust thermistor and check to make sure that the thermistor resistance is correct. On the tech sheet there is a chart on page number 6, this chart will tell you exhaust temps on what temp setting and the second chart will show the resistance of the thermistor to determine if it is within tolerance. If not then would need to be replaced.
