This unit has an auxillary drain pump. When the unit is turned on, the water valve opens and over fills the water pan, then the water shuts off, the recirc pump starts and pumps for one minute then shuts off. The pan drain pump starts and pumps the water out in to the auxillary pump. The water valve opens and starts the process all over again. It just keeps going through the same process. I have also noticed when the auxillary drain pump starts, the interior light and the on/off light goes off for a second. Sometimes the auxillary pump never shuts off. I have replaced the water level sensor, bin and evaporator thermistor. Now I am beginning to think it is the control board.
ANSWER Hello Bobby,
Based on the information provided it appears that your auxilliary pump 1901A is bad and needs to be replaced. The unit power is routed through the pump and into the unit. The pump is causing surging and the unit to restart.
