My front center section on my refrig was getting very warm so I had a tech come out who explained that the fan was weak and not cooling the bottom part of refrig and replaced the motor with a Sub Zero which cooled it right down and yes it was quite as well. Ten days later the problem reappeared and the same tech came out and said it was my control board was bad and it needs to be sent off for repair, #W10219463 so he hardwired the fan so it would be on all the time till I could shut the Refrig down for a week while the process was completed. Q1# will the fan on all the time hurt anything? Q2# Changing the fan to a Sub Zero blow the board? Q3# If I buy or have it repaired where do I plug the fan in since he hardwired it?
Let me know Thanks
Changing the fan to a subzero fan would not cause an issue with the control board. The fan running all the time will not effect the unit and if he cut the wiring out from the control board to hard wire, as long as he left enough wire to reconnect the wiring to the board then it should not be an issue.
