Icemaker quit working. I installed a new one and it still doesn't work, so I'm now properly diagnosing the components. I measured L-N and only saw 30V. This implies it might be the emitter/receiver control board. To verify, I removed the control board (2255114) and manually jumpered the black and black w/white trace wires together at the connector. Now I see 120V at the L-N points (yeah), but I've left this jumper for over 2 hours to see if the icemaker properly cycles, but it will not fill with water. The icemaker seems to harvest, but never fill. Is it likely that BOTH the emitter/receiver control board AND the water fill valve have gone bad at the same time? I don't want to keep just replacing components....advice?

ANSWER Hello Trent, Check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. Also cycle the icemaker and check from v to n when the icemaker gets to approximately 11 to 11:30 position for 120vac or check the water valve for 120 vac. This will ensure that the icemaker is getting voltage to the valve. If this checks ok then you would need to replace the water valve as long as fill tube is not frozen.
