Freezer side is not cooling beyond 30 F. Tested the thermostat for continuity and it failed. Replaced it with a new thermostat. Coils aren't frozen over. Freezer still does not cool past 30 F. Could the freezer controller be bad?
ANSWER Bill, The new control could have an issue but the original and a replacement part with the same issue, not likely. A few things to check, make sure both doors are closing and sealing properly. Check and make sure the auto damper and the air return opening ( behind the crisper drawers) are not blocked or restricted by articles or debris. Then check or replace the evaporator fan motor C8891605 it could be running, but at a slow speed and not circulating the air fast enough. Thanks
