So I got the valve coils in the mail and did a continuity check, no change whatsoever. Which is irritating because I just waited 5 days for these parts when I paid for express. Apparently you don't ship on the weekends. So maybe I'm doing something wrong but when I put the needle on the 1st and 2nd prong of the 2 prong valve there is no change in the ohm meter. Did you guys send me bad parts or am I just not doing a continuity check right... That is to say the exact same way I did on everything else and got correct readings only it's just not working this time?
ANSWER Hello Nick. The shipping companies do not ship on weekends. Sorry, We have no control over that. You can not test the coils for continuity. Check the coils 279834 and see if they test good. You can test the coils using a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. The two prong coil will read 1,000-1,300 ohms, and the three prong coil will read 1,300-1,400 ohms across prongs 1&2, and 500-600 ohms across prongs 1&3. Test the coils after running the dryer for about 10 minutes. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
