I did a coil test. they are good too.
Now I'm wandering, not only about the outlet thermistor if it's good or bad. But the gas valve, how do I check if the gas valve is good or bad?
ANSWER Bobo, You probably checked the coil resistances " cold" and you can and will get the correct resistances. You have to allow the coils 279834 to operate a few minutes (15 or 20 minutes, or until there is no ignition) before checking the resistances. The outlet thermistor 8577274 should have a resistance reading of 10K ohms resistance at room Temperature (78 dgrs.). There are no mechanical checks to make to a dryer gas valve. Make sure there is gas supplied to the gas valve and check the resistances of the coils are the only checks to be made.
