I have a whirpool estate gas dryer, last summer the thermo fuse on the blower box blew, replaced it, and it ran fine with no problems. Now, I noticed that it takes too long to dry, the flame will cycle on and off, 2 to 3 times, runs about 7 to 10 minutes, a couple of times you could smell a shot of gas in the exhaust vent, after that it just blows cold air.
ANSWER Hello Mopar85,
You will want to check your venting to make sure that it is clear from the blower assembly all the way to the outside of the unit. This is the most common reason for a thermal fuse to blow and for the unit to stop heating. If the venting is clear then you will want to check your thermostats.
